Mindanao Film Fest: OVERTIME Giveaway

My good friend Albert Alvertus Egot Jr. is a little bit desperate to ask me to blog this. Joke lang! Ha ha! Actually, I volunteered. But seriously, I am willing to help him.

His short horror film “OVERTIME” starring MFF 2010 Best Actress Jona Gegremosa is an official entry to the Mindanao Film Festival. The MMF is an initiative to showcase films made by Mindanawon filmmakers and films about, related to, or shot in Mindanao to the local audiences in and around the island. The festival aims to popularize the art of independent filmmaking as an essential medium of cultural and artistic expression. The festival also aims to discover, encourage and nurture young local talents to tell the rich heritage and untold stories of the island and its people.

Albert started to make films since he was 3rd year in college and filmed different genres including Docu-drama, narrative, action, except comedy and horror. So for this year he decided to submit a horror film and a comedy film next year starring me in an attempt to win my 2nd best actor recognition after my 1st best actor award back in college during my Rizal class. Ha ha!

With the growth of new technology and curiosity of the horror genre, Albert challenged to prove himself that he can do it.

“Ghost story is so ‘gasgas’ na but in this film, the twist is different. My edge is I think the new approach I used in this film. This is not the ordinary ghost story..,” Albert shared.
