Whooo! Truth be told, it has been a month that I haven’t logged on to my blog. My sincerest apologies. I don’t want to make excuses, but the past month has been (and still is) really TOXIC. And that’s without exaggeration. I’m kinda surprised pa nga na I’m still alive, breathing and functioning properly. Lol.

One thing is certain though, mas lalo akong pumangit. Hihi. Yeah, seriously…. So there is a reason to pay attention for my face and restore a youthful appearance. Who said that only chic can be vain? Oh yeah, me too! Lalo na e single ako! Haha!

I am very awkward and intimidated with my pimples (haggard face). This is getting worse and worse. At may kung anik-anik pa malapit sa lips ko. So I went to Pacific Spa to make me feel better. Got to take advantage their Deep Cleansing Facial and Diamond Peel Dermabrasion last night. I love just how sophisticated this place could be. The staff is very experienced and extremely lovely to deal with. I have a very pleasant experience with them. It was one of the very best I’ve received in a long time.

Pacific Spa Tropical Facial Room

We begun with the Deep Cleansing Facial. I have an acne prone sensitive skin so this is a perfect treatment for me. It generally incorporate a combination of thorough steaming, deep cleansing, facial extractions to remove pore-clogging sebum, and a variation of a healing mask and moisturizer. Salicylic and glycolic acids aimed at managing and thwarting acne flare-ups are often utilized.

After Facial, I had the Diamond Peel Dermabrasion. It is a popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure that resurfaces the skin to give it back its healthy, youthful glow. It is gentler microdermabrasion treatment that is designed to remove fine lines and wrinkles. your skin will look slightly pink and rosy, but should not be irritated or red. Even after the first treatment, you will see visible results. Age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, freckles, and stretch marks will be less noticeable, or may disappear completely. The results of each treatment will not be lost, but instead will gradually improve with each treatment you have.

It was a great and relaxing experience without burning a hole in my pocket. Deep Cleansing Facial only cost PhP 250 and PhP 650 for the diamond peel dermabrasion. Money can’t buy a good experience. Thank you so much to Pacific Spa for this opportunity! Shout out to manager James. Also, I’ll be having a weekly diamond peel dermabrasion starting this week at discounted price. Wow. I feel so lucky. I’m looking forward for a new me! Cheers!

You should check ‘em out! Treat yourself with a budget friendly experience. They are conveniently located at Claro M. Recto Street, Davao City beside Marco Polo Hotel fronting Aldevinco back of Miami Foods. There’s a street in between BDO and Miami Foods which is the only road to get to the spa.

Pacific Spa

Pacific Spa offers exquisite pampering with several indulgent body and beauty treatments. It is a one-stop-shop that never ceases until you feel healthy and beautiful inside and out, from head to toe, with its skin care and dermatological treatments and relaxation therapies.
Contrary to what you may think that women loves to be worshipped especially by men, that’s for me a no-no!

If I may quote my gal pal, “We dress up not for guys but for other girls.” So I’d say they follow what the other girl is wearing or they make a colorful statement. And that’s not for the guys to notice.

My girl friend Bianca and her girl friends

It’s like in a party. Once, when I parteyed in Hybrid, pabonggahan ng damit. Among women, ganun sila!

Well, they absolutely hate it one another girl is wearing the same. I mean, for us guys, it’s a bit annoying. So we make a joke out, right? Like, “Nakauniform kasi kami…”. For gals, it could result in a cat fight.

And yeas! I mean, heck if we’re both wearing the same shirt from Bench or Penshoppe. I’d feel “concerned” but I’d laugh it off.

I had an experience where a gal pal of mine really went to the CR and cut off the sleeve of her dress and turned it into a tube simply because another gal was wearing the same sleeves.

Starbucks stole my girl friend. Ako na ang pinakagwapo. Salamat sa libre Bianca. Hihi!

And one more thing, they’re willing to suffer for vanity. One classic example is by wearing a high heels. Ha ha! As a result, vanity leads to pain.

I read somewhere that in formal events, mas balot na balot ang mga guys sa damit such as coat, tie, barong or shirt. But for girls, it’s the other way around. And you know what I mean, like cocktail dresses, flowing gowns and so on.

Compared to guys, mas concerned ang babae sa tiyan nila. Perhaps, most of their dresses or fashion emphasize the gut. Halters, tubes, sporting attire, etc. And they do anything to emphasize their boobs and ass. And that’s a fact! Else why would push up bras, pads and thongs be so sellable?

Yeah right, pa-impress! But well, not necessarily. I mean, for us guys would rather see them naked, right? He he.

It’s more like they also wear those kinky stuff for other girls. I mean, it’s like saying, “Hey look at me. I’ve got nicer tits than you” or “Hey, I’ve got an ass and I can flaunt in.

Well, that’s it I guess.

No offense, ladies… Peace out!

Just 3 main points:

1. Gals dress for other gals.
2. Vanity is greater than pain.
3. Less is more.

It’s been quite a while since my last post, I apologize because I’ve been tied up with the day-to-day operations of my everyday life. These past 3 weeks had rather been a busy one for me. No matter how I wanted to do a post or two for each day I can’t seem to take the action.

2011 is my year; I can now feel it’s real. New Year celebration have never been better compared to last year, since I was surrounded by my loved ones. I spent my New Year in our province. Great food. Fireworks. It was undeniably fun!

The past 3 weeks (December 26, 2011- December 13, 2012) of my life spent at Sutherland Global Services where I’m a trainee. It was a 15-day class plus different assessments plus some booze. Haha. I have always enjoyed being around different personalities and different beliefs with one clique. I’ve never thought I’d get close to them so quickly, but we are just kinda like one big family now. Well that how I feel with most of them anyways.

Right now, my greatest fear is to finally neglect my calling as a nurse. But I know few years from now; I will be looking back at my own career. I’m still on the process…

Credit to Tatum for this photo. Wala ko, luls.

Yesterday marked the last day of our CEx (Communication Excellence) training with a call simulation exam. God is so good! I handled it well with a whooping 93.71% grade.Just me bragging. Lol. To tell you, I wasn’t confident. Really! But God is so good! Thank you God for blessing me much more than I deserve.

I would like to congratulate my wavemates who passed the post assessment and call sim. Today is our day, our NHO Day! Well it’s called a brand new life.. My new journey… New Beginning… As a call boy of a big BPO company. But I still hafto pass the Product Skills Training. Kdot! Challenge accepted. Wish me luck! Sooo yeah.

Globe Telecom recently made its Postpaid PowerSurf plans even better with the implementation of a P999 bill cap to help users to avoid bill shock. With the new billing policy, postpaid subscribers registered to any of the PowerSurf plans need not worry about exceeding their allocated megabytes (MBs) because charging stops at P999.

Postpaid PowerSurf is a mobile internet plan that gives Globe Postpaid subscribers MBs of mobile data, consumable per kilobyte (kb) and valid for 30 days. The plan is available in three variants: PowerSurf 99 (50MB), PowerSurf 299 (300MB) and PowerSurf 499 (1 GB). With the P999 bill cap, subscribers will not be charged above P999 each month for excess usage regardless of their PowerSurf plan subscription.

This means that for as long as a postpaid subscriber is registered to any PowerSurf plan, they don’t need to monitor their usage strictly because they can be confident that they will never pay more than P999 for data use even if they exceed their respective plan’s MB limit.

“Bill shock has always been a concern for most of our postpaid subscribers using smartphones, especially those who use data. Our new worry-free plans, headlined by the P999 bill cap, show that Globe truly values superior customer experience by proactively addressing bill shock and helping subscribers cope with their data usage,” said Joanna Africa, Head for Portfolio Management of Globe. “With the bill cap on PowerSurf in place, we give our postpaid subscribers peace of mind when they surf on their handsets – may it be an iPhone, Android or BlackBerry. For as long as they are registered to any of our PowerSurf plans, they can enjoy mobile browsing without racking up an expensive bill.”

Activate Globe Postpaid PowerSurf by visiting any Globe Store, calling the Globe Hotline at 730-1000 or texting POWERSURF 99/POWERSURF 299/POWERSURF 499 to 8888. For more information on Globe Mobile Internet, text SURF to 8888 or visit www.globe.com.ph/surf.

You can find yours by clicking on your profile, and then looking at the URL. The string or series of numbers after facebook.com/ will be yours. You can also get your friend’s ID’s by viewing their profile.

Kids these days have become super talented, and they tend to learn fast too.

Wise, girl!

And who am I not to grant this little girl’s wish? She may become a model someday. That we don’t know, but we can only guess.

Here are some more of her model-ish poses. Yes she knows when to smile and when just to stay composed and look fabulous in the cam.

Man has always been in awe of lights. During Christmas, we decorate our homes with lights that cheer our hearts and set the mood this yuletide season.

Looking at young and old people who are visiting Mana Davao, I realized that we are all kids at heart.

Davao takes pride of this well-lit junction along J.P. Laurel Avenue. The majestic Christmas trees towering above a sea of people taking pictures with friendly disney mascots like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck plus some mischievous elves running around with Santa’s clothes on.

Mana Davao is a yearly attraction. Every Christmas, the owner of the business establishment that normally sells antique items and furniture for the rest of the year, converts his road side lot into a mini Christmas theme-park.

Last night, I was able to visit this place with Eidah, Karl and Leo. We couldn’t stop clicking our cameras to take pictures with the mascots in front of a colorful backdrop of lights.

One of the biggest dreams of my entire life finally came true. I was finally able to step foot at the the highest point of the Island Garden City of Samal.

I conquerred Mt.Puting Bato with a towering height of about 1,345 feet above sea level in Sitio Tayapoc, Brgy. Guilon.

It was a wonderful experience. It was really a good hike. Aside from the beauty at the peak, the trail is also exciting, trekking the trail for just 20 minutes. It released my work-tensions and drop a couple of sweats.

These are the photos that photographers (Ate Lea, Kuya Olan, Doc Charles) of the team took. But I swear to comeback with my own camera soon.

It is recommended that you will get a guide especially if you are not familiar with the area. You will surely get lost.

All thanks to the Samal ultimate adventure from islands to highlands organized by the travel teller himself kuya Olan, I was able to visit this place.

FACT: Mt. Puting Bato (white stone) is named after the white limestone walls, a prominent feature of the island.

There are museums that boasts of some of the Davao’s historic heritage and wonders. One of my personal favorite of the museums that would be lovely to go to is Museo Dabawenyo. It is nestled at the heart of the city along Pichon Street (formerly Magallanes Street) and walking distance from Davao City’s seat of government.

The two-story museum is subdivided into four rooms: The Indigenous People’s Gallery, a collection of arts, crafts, weapons and musical instruments made by various tribes who live in the surrounding provinces of Davao; The Moro People’s Gallery, a fine collection of miniature house boats, chairs, weapons, armors, musical instruments, and crowns that were previously used by the Muslim people in Southern Philippines; The Contemporary Gallery, a collection of classic and modern designed paintings, wood carvings and the like; and the Memorabilia Gallery, a collection of olden day clothing, money bills, porcelains, musical notes and photos of old schools, houses churches, building and aerial shots of City of Davao in the past as well.

There’s a lot more. It’s a very interesting place and it’s great to discover more of the history and the culture of Davao City.

The Museo Dabawenyo is envisioned to be a true museum of the peoples of Davao. It has recognized itself as a well-visited tourist destination of Davao that displays the history, rich cultural diversity and modern showcases of not only the city but of Mindanao dwellers as well.

When visiting this museum, you don’t have to worry for charges as admission is free.

Etc.: There’s also a museum known as the Davao Museum located inside the Insular Village in Lanang. It’s still a very active museum.
